Founded in 1938 by Dr. K. M. Munshi, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is today an All India, intellectual, cultural and educational movement dedicated to the twin task of interpreting the age old yet ageless message of our country and of integrating our varied and vibrant culture with the changing needs of the present day world.During the six decades of its life the Bhavan has come to be recognized as a symbol of India’s glorious past and as a comprehensive national institution with an international outlook touching all segments of life enriching all spheres of activity.

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is not a mere institution. It is a Movement. Movements obtain strength from the association of like minded people. Institutions have to body forth the inspiration of an idea and translate it into action in diverse ways giving it stability and strength. Life’s values have to be concretised in the frame-work of an institution, to be seen and to be responded to with heart and will. Inspite of its limitations and shortcomings, the Bhavan has steadfastly endeavoured to function as such an institution.

The School provides an atmosphere conducive to preserving and reviving Indian Culture, offering Quality Education, taking into consideration the aspirations and needs of the Student Community. The Curriculum combines a variety of courses in arts and sciences to develop a desired learning experience. The Student Teacher Ratio is optimum with an average class strength of 40.
